Short version: This app does not collect, store, or share any personal information. Everything works on your device. We have no servers.

1. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:

No account or registration is required
No location data is transmitted off your device
No usage analytics or crash reporting is sent to us
No advertising identifiers are used
No cookies or tracking technologies are used

2. Map & Data

All camping and water feature data is bundled inside the app and stored entirely on your device. No queries about what you search or view are sent anywhere.

When you select an online map layer (Hydrology or Simple OSM), your device fetches map tiles directly from the respective tile server (Geoscience Australia or OpenStreetMap). This is a standard map tile request containing only the tile coordinates — no personal data.

3. Donations (Stripe)

If you choose to donate, tapping the Support This App button opens Stripe's secure payment page in your device's browser. We do not handle or store any payment information. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.

Donations are voluntary and non-refundable
We receive only a notification from Stripe that a payment was made
No card details or personal payment data are accessible to us

4. Internet Permission

The app requests the INTERNET permission solely to:

Fetch online map tiles when you switch to an online layer
Open the Stripe donation page in your browser

The core app — maps, camping data, water features, filtering — works fully offline without any internet connection.

5. Third-Party Data Sources

This app uses open data from the following sources. Tapping external links opens them in your browser:

OpenStreetMap — camp sites, rivers and waterways (Open Database Licence, ODbL 1.0)
Geoscience Australia — surface hydrology and water features (CC-BY 4.0). Data is indicative only and should not be used for critical operational decisions.
OpenTopoMap — offline topographic map tiles (CC-BY-SA 4.0)

6. Children's Privacy

This app does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, there is nothing specific to children to disclose.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. We will also update the app listing on Google Play.
